Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Operations to join our growing company in the residential single-family market. In this role you will be at the forefront of scaling our operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring that our business processes align with our strategic goals. You will oversee the daily operations, manage cross-functional teams, and implement best practices to support our rapid growth. The best candidates will have a strong background in operational management, a keen understanding of the residential real estate market, and a passion for leading in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support to CEO & Senior Leadership team:

Act as a point of contact for the CEO, liaising with other senior leaders and managers in establishing the corporate rhythm

Take on key tasks and projects critical to execution of overall business strategies

Ensure the CEO is well-organized and informed about critical business activities, furnishing executive and board-level reporting materials

  • Performance Reporting:

Develop and maintain comprehensive performance reports for the company

Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement

Present findings and recommendations to the CEO and other senior leaders.

  • KPI Setting and Monitoring:

Collaborate with department heads to set meaningful KPIs.

Monitor progress towards KPIs and report on achievements, identifying initiatives and interventions to drive improved results

Lead weekly performance meetings to ensure alignment and accountability

  • Data Management and Optimization:

Assess current data collection and usage practices across all relevant business areas

Identify gaps and inefficiencies in data strategy, governance and business practices

Collaborate with technology and operational team members to implement improvements to ensure data is accurate, useful, and accessible

  • Efficiency and Process Improvement:

Conduct regular reviews of business processes across departments to inform overall business priority areas

Identify opportunities for growth, operational efficiencies and cost savings

Propose and support relevant business leaders in implementing changes to improve overall business performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in business operations, strategic planning, and project management preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills at varying levels of seniority (individual contributor to board members)
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask simultaneously
  • Familiarity with tech-enabled CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Airtable, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
